Tis the season for kindness and compassion! God bless our loving Twin Cities. It has already begun, actually it never ceases.

Ken-Tenn Food bank, has been blessed by a most successful food drive by the newly formed Kiwanis Club along with another successful food drive sponsored by our always loyal Girl Scouts. Also, this past Friday we were hosts to a produce giveaway which was sponsored by a grant from Anthem insurance in which we received 14,000 pounds of fresh produce for the second month. One more produce give away will occur on Dec. 13 for anyone in our community.

I was recently a small part of an evening of prayer that highlighted local benevolent service organizations, including the Moses Project, Hope House, the Merryman House, CASA (The National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association, Celebrate Recovery, ARK (Alternative Resources for Kentucky), and Ken-Tenn food bank. There are many in our community to assist those with need. Our community is very compassionate and giving.

We have so much for which to be thankful.

Let’s remember to be kind and compassionate throughout the season and the next year.
