Union City’s Tayehari Jones scored four touchdowns, as the MS Tornadoes beat South Fulton Middle School Red Devils, 40-6, in a football season opener last week.

The Middle School Devils put their only points on the scoreboard in the third quarter, when Dallas Whitehead bolted into the endzone on a 70-yard run.

On the night for South Fulton, Whitehead rushed for 137-yards on 16 carries.

In the rushing category, Brady McFarland added 29-yards, Dane Cirkles 25 and Josh McKnight 14.

On the defensive side for the MS Red Devils, Whitehead added nine tackles, with Nate Little and Tim Davis each having three.

For Union City, Jones scored on runs of 60 and 83-yards in the first half, as Union City jumped out to a 24-0 lead at halftime.

He added a 53-yard score for a 32-0 lead early in the third quarter.

Jones ended his 258-yard rushing night, when he scored on a 42-yard run.

South Fulton will play at home again on Thursday, when they host Lake Road at 6:30 p.m.
