Daytime Closures on KY 94/Moscow Avenue in Hickman starting Today

Slope Stabilization work to take up to a week to complete

PADUCAH, Ky. (May 13, 2021) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans daytime closures on KY 94/Moscow Avenue in the City of Hickman starting at Noon, today.

KY 94/Moscow Avenue will be closed from mile point 13.05 to mile point 13.2 in Hickman to allow slope stabilization work. This is along KY 94 between the KY 125 intersection and the west end of Magnolia Loop.

The roadway at this site will be closed from approximately 8 a.m., CDT, to about 4 p.m., each day for about the next week. The placement of equipment to facilitate the slope stabilization work will required the roadway to be closed to all traffic during daylight hours.

There will be no marked detour. Passenger vehicles may self-detour via side streets. Trucks should self-detour via an approved state route. Local access will be maintained for residents and property owners.

The crew will be on site starting around Noon, today, and continuing through Friday. The crew anticipates being back at the site for several days next week.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will attempt to provide timely notice when work is completed.
