AREA OBITUARIES -- LORENE H. MEADOR

Lorene H. Meador, 77, of South Fulton, Tenn., passed away Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, Tenn.

She was born on May 20, 1944 in Alcorn County, Miss. to the late B.G. Harris and Velma Nash Harris.

Lorene was of the Pentecostal faith and worked as a Customer Service Representative for the former Reelfoot Bank in Fulton.

She taught Sunday School for many and was a member of Smiles on Seniors. Lorene lived most of her life in Corinth, Miss. and South Fulton.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Taylor (Kathy) Johnston of South Fulton, Sidney Elizabeth White of Martin, Tenn., and Stephanie Jo Johnston Clapp of Fulton, Ky.; eight grandchildren, Nathan Johnston of Jackson, Tenn., Matthew Manning of Waddy, Ky., Dustin Johnston of South Fulton, Blair White of Trenton, Tenn., Jared Johnston of South Fulton, Seth Clapp of Wingo, Ky., Joel Clapp of Fulton and Landon Hicks of Fulton; six great-grandchildren, Alleigh Manning of Waddy, Cason Johnston of South Fulton, Corbin Johnston of South Fulton, Harrison White of Trenton, Lyman Clapp of Wingo, Kaylee Manning of Waddy; a brother, Roy Harold Harris of Marietta, Ga.; and her beloved pet, Abby Kate.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lyman Harold Meador, four brothers, Loyal Harris, Lealon Harris, Dwaine Harris, Thurmon Harris, and two sisters, Nona Pollard and Doris Fields.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022 in the funeral chapel of Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton, with burial to follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Friday until the hour of service.
