AREA OBITUARY - Sue Pennell

Mrs. Pattie Sue Pillow Pennell, 93, of South Fulton, Tenn., passed away September 25, 2022 at her residence.

She was born on August 14, 1929 in Hickman County, Ky., to the late Claudie and Bera Stroud Pillow.

Sue was a member of Smith Street Church of Christ and was a supervisor at the former Henry I. Siegel and lived all of her life in this area.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Hicks Taylor of South Fulton, Tenn.; a son, Michael Don (Jamie) Hicks of South Fulton, Tenn.; a step-son, Mark Edward (Charlotte) Pennell of Santa Fe, NM; five grandchildren, Bridgette Taylor (Jeremy) Grogan of Murray, Ky., Jeremy Chad (Shannon) Taylor of South Fulton, Tenn., Justin Don (Madison) Taylor of Beelerton, Ky., James Adam (Samantha) Hicks of Dubuque, Iowa, and Conner Andrew Hicks of Fulton, Ky.; eleven great-grandchildren, Taylor Brooke Garrison of Murray, Ky., Evan Matthew Garrison of Murray, Ky., Emerson Rane Grogan of Murray, Ky., Nick (Kayla) Kelly of Hickman, Ky., Levi (Anna) Kelly of Fulton, Ky., Rachel Kelly of Union City, Tenn., Peyton Taylor of South Fulton, Tenn., Berkley Hicks of Dubuque, Iowa, Dawson Hicks of Dubuque, Iowa, Sloane Hicks of Dubuque, Iowa; two step-great grandchildren, Kirsten West and Bryce Pennell; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Pennell, a grandson Terry Shane Taylor, three brothers, Buster Pillow, Bobby Glen Pillow and Ned Pillow, five sisters, Frances Duke, Maxie O'Neal, Charlene Howell, Joann Coleman and Barbara Vaughn.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Wesley Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Monday until the hour of service.
