SOUTH FULTON RED DEVIL FOOTBALL STANDOUTS HONORED FOR 2022 SEASON
The South Fulton High School Red Devils 2022 football team held an Awards Banquet Jan. 6 in the SFHS cafeteria to recognize standouts during the 2022 football season. Head Coach Eric Knott first recognized senior Conner Allen for his recent honor in being included in the Jackson Sun’s All West Tennessee Team. Knott then announced two Coaches’ Award winners, Quadyn Morefield for Most Improved and Josh McKnight, Scout Team Player of the Year. Academic Excellence Awards were presented to senior Manager Allie Taylor, players Braden Costello and Conner Allen. Offensive Awards were presented to Dallas Whitehead, Back of the Year; Conner Allen, Receiver of the Year; Luke Morris, Offensive Line Award; and Offensive MVP, Brady McFarland. Defensive Awards were presented to Backs of the Year, Will Clapper and Conner Lawrence; Defensive Lineman of the Year, Braden Costello; and Red Devil Award, Brady McFarland. Special recognition awards were presented to Daniel Pitts, Videographer, Parker Wilson, Ball Boy and Managers Allie Taylor, Addysen Wilson, Avery Cox, Anna Claire Barnes and Shaylyn Brown. Leadership awards were presented to seniors Allie Taylor, Zach Hannon, Conner Allen, Bryant Kimmons and Braden Costello. In addition to the five Red Devils named to the All Region Team, Whitehead, Morris, McFarland, Allen and Clapper, Honorable Mentions recognized included Conner Lawrence, Bryant Kimmons, Zach Hannon, Joseph Mathias, Tim Davis, Braden Costello and Dane Cirkles.
