ONLY 314 MILES TO GO – The Last Annual Vol State runners prepare to board the Dorena-Hickman Ferry on the Missouri side of the Mississippi River on July 9. There were 66 runners to begin the long trip of 314 miles from the Dorena Landing to Castle Rock, Ga. Francesca Muccini won the crown of Queen of the Road with her finish of three days, 10 hours, 49 minutes, and 40 seconds. Bob Hearn was the first male to cross the line at three days, 10 hours, 46 minutes, 12 seconds. The competitors have 10 days to complete the race.
