AREA OBITUARIES -- RICKY VAUGHAN

Mr. Ricky Vaughan, age 73, of Dukedom, Tenn., passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 in Peachtree City, Georgia.

He was born on August 14, 1949 in Fulton, Ky., to the late Rev. Wallace and Bennie Hopkins Vaughan.

Ricky was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church.

He was a farmer, a Woodworking manufacturer, and also worked for Moor Man's Feed. He was an avid gardener, loved his family, friends and dancing. Ricky also gave away everything he raised and lived in this area all of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Barnhart Vaughan; a daughter, Stephanie (Pat) O'Donnell of Peachtree City, Georgia; a son, Marcus (Nichole) Vaughan of Murray, Ky.; a stepson, Shane (Sunshine) Gibson of Pilot Oak, Ky.; five grandchildren, Haley O'Donnell of Waco, Texas, Maggie Vaughan of Murray, and Dylan, Natalie and Gavin Gibson, all of Wingo, Ky.; two brothers, Dale (Becky) Vaughan of Jackson, Tenn., and Danny (Pat) Vaughan of Wingo, Ky.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Farris Vaughan.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Jackson Funeral Home in Dukedom with burial to follow in the Greenlea Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Jackson Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27 until the hour of service.
