GIBSON ELECTRIC ANNOUNCES PLANNED POWER OUTAGE FOR FEB. 25
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gibson EMC Planned Outage
Gibson Electric Membership Corporation will have a planned outage that will affect members served by
the co-op’s Clinton substation on Saturday night, February 25 from 11:59 PM until about 5 AM Sunday,
February 26. TVA must have the outage to prepare to install a new transformer at the Clinton
substation. This will enhance long-term service reliability for the area.
“Gibson EMC is attempting to telephone our members who will be affected,” said Rita Alexander, VP of
Human Resources and Member Services. “We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate our
members’ patience and understanding.”

Gibson EMC is a local, not-for-profit, member-owned and member-controlled electric cooperative
serving more than 39,000 homes and businesses in eight west Tennessee counties (Crockett, Dyer,
Gibson, Haywood, Lake, Lauderdale, Obion and Madison) and four west Kentucky counties (Carlisle,
Fulton, Graves and Hickman).
