Cameron and Jasmine McDaniel are looking ahead, and looking forward to their first year at the helm for the Fulton High School Lady Bulldogs’ softball team.

They will be joined by nine Lady Bulldogs for the 2023 season, which will include two juniors, three freshmen, two eighth grade students and two seventh grade students.

With the exception of two team members, the remainder posted on this year’s roster have no experience on the softball field as a Lady Bulldog, however according to the first-year coaches, a collective positive attitude, determination and drive will counter the challenges, and set the pace for a year of learning the fundamental basics of the game.

Specific positions have not yet been assigned for team members.

In an overview of this year’s schedule, the coaches agree Hickman County and Carlisle County will be formidable foes.

The main goal to be embraced by the 2023 Lady Bulldogs’ team coaches will be to display a major effort to rebuild, and then continue to build upon that foundation in moving forward.

“We have a great group of girls that work hard every practice and every game. We are proud of them so far and we are really just in the beginning stage. It can be hard to break old habits. We really want to bring back a program that has been overlooked by other schools for a while now,” Coach McDaniel said.
