GIBSON ELECTRIC UPDATES REGARDING MAY 8 STORM RELATED OUTAGES

New outages have been reported this morning for Gibson Electric Membership Corporation members' homes and businesses, bringing the total to 332, following May 8 storms.

Currently GEMC outages are reported in north Madison County, Lake County, Obion County, and Hickman County. Crews are hard at work and will restore power as soon as they safely can.

Monday night's storms initially caused outages to 1,438 Gibson Electric Membership Corporation members' homes and businesses in Hickman and Fulton counties in Kentucky and Lake and Obion counties in Tennessee. Crews were dispatched to restore service as quickly as could be safely done.

Crews worked through the night and believed to have reduced outages to 222 members in Fulton and Hickman counties in Kentucky and Obion County in Tennessee, prior to the notification of additional outages this morning.
