ROGERS HIRED BY BOARD OF EDUCATION, CONTINGENT ON CONTRACT AGREEMENT
Following a return to open session after closed session tonight, in the regular monthly session of the Fulton Independent Board of Education, the board voted to hire Jeff Rogers, who currently serves as FIS Principal, as Superintendent, contingent upon agreement of contract details.
The hire comes following the announcement of Superintendent Dr. DeAnna Miller's retirement.
The Board, having met with a number of candidates for interviews the preceding weeks, came to the decision tonight, prior to the close of the regular month session. A complete report of the meeting will be included in the May 24 print edition of The Current, as well as online.
Board members present were Carol Bransford, Debbie Vaughn, Christy Pettigrew and Austin Ferrell.
