HANDS ON HAZMAT HELP
There was representation from 10 area agencies on hand for a two-day HAZMAT Ttraining session held at Fulton's Pontotoc Community Center Aug. 26-27. Fulton Code Enforcement Officer and Firefighter Nathan Lamb said the FFD hosted the training, with no cost to the department or the city, through a cooperative partnership between the National Volunteer Firefighters Council and Canadian National Railroad. The training involved the use of special equipment and scenarios involving hazardous materials, covering a broad range of topics over the weekend 17-hour sessions. The Fulton location was one of only 15 sites selected nationally, for the training. (Photo by Benita Fuzzell)
