AREA OBITUARIES -- LUELLA WEAKS PHILLIPS

Mrs. Luella Weaks Phillips, age 95, of South Fulton, Tenn. passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Van Ayer in

Martin, Tenn.

She was born on February 23, 1928 in Obion County, Tenn. to the late Earl Thomas Weaks and Jewell E. Carlisle

Weaks.

She was a member of Ruthville Baptist Church and had worked for the former Gardner Studio and Swift Company. Luella lived all of her life in this area.

She is survived by a daughter Linda Kay (Richard) Moss of Martin, Tenn., a son Ronnie ( Brenda) Phillips of South Fulton, Tenn., three grandchildren: Richard (Shannon) Moss IV of Martin, Tenn., Rhonda Phillips of South Fulton, Tenn.and John (Tracie) Moss of Martin, Tenn., six great-grandchildren: Chase Moss, Zachary Moss and Alli Moss, Matthew Moss, Hannah Moss and Brigitte Reaves all of Martin, Tenn., five great-great-grandchildren: Bella Reaves, Piper Reaves, Charley Moss, Brynley Moss, Ellie Kay Moss all of Martin, Tenn.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marion W. Phillips and a sister, Sarah Denney.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2023 in the Hornbeak Funeral Home funeral

chapel with burial to follow in the Johnson Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon Wednesday until the hour of service.
