AREA OBITUARIES -- JIM DALTON

Mr. Jim Dalton, age 89, of South Fulton, TN passed away Monday, September 11, 2023 at The Arbors

in Union City, TN.

He was born on April 25, 1934 in South Fulton, TN to the late Willy Dalton and Hazel Roberts Dalton.

Jim was a United States Navy veteran where he served in the Vietnam War and received a Bronze Star for Valor.

He served as a swift boat captain in the brown water navy while serving in the Vietnam War. Jim retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after 23 years of service.

He is survived by two nieces: Melissa (Colin) Anglin of Verona, WI and Jessica (Mark) Dvorak of Lake

Forest, IL.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers: Jack Dalton, Bob Dalton, Ted Dalton

and Don Dalton and a sister, Faynelle Dalton.

There will be no services held at the funeral home. Hornbeak Funeral Home of Fulton is in charge of arrangements.
