BANANA BAKE OFF WINNERS ANNOUNCED FOR 2023 BANANA FESTIVAL COMPETITION

Susan Caldwell Black of Fulton was the overall winner in the 2023 Banana Festival Bake-Off, with 39 entries submitted, staged at Fancy Fannie's Bakery, on Lake Street in Fulton Sept. 12. Black won a $100 prize for her Flip Town Banana Yum Dip.

In the Pudding category, Shirley O'Neal claimed first, Teresa Greer, second and Vanessa Gaskins, third.

In the Banana Bread category, Loraine Buckingham won first place, Ruby Lee, second and Belinda Hill, third.

For Pies, Kathy Cassetty won first place, Vanessa Gaskins, second and Lynnita Pierce, third.

In the Banana Cakes division, Wanda Costa won first, BreeAnna Parnell, second and Shirley O'Neil, third.

In the Miscellaneous category, Susan Black won first Kathy Gockley, second and Vanessa Buckets, third.
