Extended Closure of KY 166/Middle Rd in Fulton County for Bridge Replacement starts Wed, Sept 20
Closure for replacement of Mud Creek Bridge at 2mm
PADUCAH, Ky. (September 13, 2023) – A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans an extended closure along a section of KY 166/Middle Road in Fulton County starting Wednesday, September 20, 2023.
KY 166/Middle Road will be closed near the 2-mile marker to allow construction of a new bridge over Mud Creek. This is along KY 166 about halfway between KY 116 and KY 1127.
The contractor has up to 90 days to demolish the old structure and construct a new bridge.
There will be a marked detour via KY 239, KY 94 and KY 125.
Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the prime contractor on this $1,215,365 bridge replacement project. The target completion date is December 20, 2023.
KYTC District 1 and the contractor will attempt to provide timely notice when the roadway reopens to traffic.
