AREA OBITUARIES – Shelby Jean Foster Rushing

Shelby Jean Foster Rushing, age 82, of Dukedom, Tenn., passed away Mon., Oct.23, 2023 at the Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden, Tenn.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1941 in Weakley County, Tenn. to the late Carl Hamilton Foster and Geneva Cashon Foster.
Shelby was a member of the South Fulton Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress for the former Fulton Manufacturing and Liggett. She loved her grandchildren and loved going to yard sales. Shelby lived all of her life in this area.
She is survived by two sons, Rodney (Tonya) Rushing, of Dukedom, and Robert (Susan) Rushing, of Fulton, Ky.; two grandchildren, Kristeena Shelby-Aden Rushing, of Mayfield, Ky., and Rose Caroline (Elijah) Wiggins, of Independence, Mo.; a great-grandson, Noah Gene Beamish, of Mayfield; and a brother, Tim Foster, of Martin, Tenn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Rushing.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Sat., Oct. 28, 2023 in the Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation held at Hornbeak Funeral Home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
