Daytime Closures on KY 94 Between City of Hickman and the KY-TN State Line Starting Monday, Oct. 30
Series of daytime closures for cross drain/culvert replacement project
PADUCAH, Ky. (October 26, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a series of daytime closures along KY 94 in southwestern Fulton County between the City of Hickman and the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line starting Monday, October 30, 2023.
The series of planned daytime closures are along KY 94 between mile point 7.47 at the Joe Parker Road intersection, extending northeast to mile point 10.9 at the KY 1099 intersection.
This section of KY 94 at the southwest edge of Hickman will be closed from 8 a.m., CDT, to about 3 p.m., each day, starting Monday and continuing for about four days.
There will be no marked detour.
The KYTC Fulton County Highway Maintenance Crew plans to replace two or three cross drains in this area per day with assistance from neighboring crews.
When the roadway reopens each afternoon, motorists should be alert for rough pavement signs as the excavations will be allowed to settle for a time before a paving crew returns to place a permanent asphalt cap at each location.
