SHOTS FIRED NOV. 16 ON CAMPUS OF UTM

Thurs. night, Nov. 16 at approximately 8:28 pm, Officers from UTM Dept. of Public Safety and the Martin Police Department responded to 201 Hannings Ln. at University Village Phase 1 Building B in reference to shots having been fired outside of the building.
Officers located several spent shell casings from a handgun in the stairwell on the third floor.
The building was cleared by officers and UTM issued a shelter-in-place warning in regards to the campus. No injuries were reported and the investigation continues.
UTM lifted the shelter-in-place warning at approximately 1 a.m. this morning.
