CORRECTION! Hickman Parade Sat., Dec. 16
The Hickman Recreation and Tourism Committee, HRTCC, has decided to postpone the Hickman Christmas Parade, originally scheduled for this Sat., Dec. 9, after a forecast for thundershowers that day, according to Jamie Lane, HRTCC member.
The Parade has been rescheduled for Sat., DEC. 16, with line-up now set for 4:30 p.m. that day, and the parade to get underway at 5 p.m., using the same route as in previous years.
Turning Point church, in Hickman, will still be the location for entries to line up Dec. 16, and the parade will end at Coffey's, across from the Farm Bureau Office.
Following the parade, Santa, Mrs. Claus and their friends will meet for visits with children at the Jeff Green Memorial Park in Hickman.
The Hickman Chamber of Commerce Christmas Card Lane and Lights in the Park will be lit nightly from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. for viewing.
A number of cards and decorations are already displayed, with more cards expected to be added.
Those interested in entering the Hickman Christmas Parade, at no cost, may email the HRTCC, at email@example.com, or message the committee on the facebook page, Hickman Recreation & Tourism - HRTCC.
