AREA OBITUARIES -- SUE LAWRENCE

Ms. Sue Lawrence, age 88, of Fulton, Ky, passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 30, 2023 at the Fulton Nursing and Rehab in Fulton.

She was born on July 28, 1935, in Graves County, Ky. to the late Ben Holland and Gredah (Graves) Holland.

Sue was a member of the Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton and has lived all of her life in this area.

She enjoyed painting, crocheting, working puzzles and loved laying by the pool.

She is survived by two sons, Steve (Jody) Lawrence of Grand Rivers, Ky. and Scott (Joyce) Lawrence of South Futon, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Michael (Michelle) Lawrence of Lancaster, Ky., Kari (Brian) Edwards, of Paducah, Ky., Derrick Elliott of St. Louis, Mo., Chase Elliott of South Fulton, Tenn., Kady Elliott of Winfield, Ind.; seven great-grandchildren, Emma and Sophie Lawrence of Lancaster, Ky., Rhett Edwards, Marlo Edwards, and Hart Edwards

of Paducah, Ky., Libby Elliott of South Fulton, Tenn. and Benjamin Rebeill of Winfield, Ind.; a sister, June Cherry of Fulton, Ky. and a brother, Bob (Mary Belle) Holland of Wingo, Ky..

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Lawrence; a great-grandchild, Abba Jo Edwards; three sisters, Louise Ruddle, Fannie Zircher and Ila Usher and three brothers, Johnny, Jack and Bill Holland.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. Burial will follow at the Pinson Cemetery in Graves County, Ky..

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1 until the hour of service.
