AREA OBITUARIES -- JAMES A. WORKMAN
Mr. James A. Workman, age of 92, of South Fulton passed away Friday, January 5, 2024 at Van Ayer in Martin, Tenn.
He was born on December 27, 1931 in Palmersville, TN to the late Carl Workman and Bertha Berryman Workman.
James was a United States Navy veteran where he served in the Korea War. He retired from Jiffy Steamer as a repairman.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Estes Workman, to whom he was married February 19, 1952, a son Randy (Kathy) Workman of Union City, Tenn., daughter Debbie (Jimmy) Tull of Fulton, Ky., four grandchildren:
Stephanie (Michael) Palmer of Bradford, Tenn., Amy (Scott) Prather of South Fulton, Tenn., Jerry (Mandy) Hopper of Pinson, Tenn. and Lori (Dale) Nelson of Milan, Tenn., 11 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, a sister Mary Lou Kowowski of Elk Grove, Ill. and a brother, Earl Workman of Palmersville, Tenn.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024 in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation held at the Hornbeak Funeral Home and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at the hour of service.
