AREA OBITUARIES -- BRENDA WILKINS COLE

Mrs. Brenda Wilkins Cole, age 67, of Davenport, IA and formerly of Hickman, Ky. passed away Mon., Jan. 29, 2024, at the Harmony Nursing Home in Davenport, IA.

She was born on Sept. 12, 1956, in Hickman, Ky. to the late Edward Wilkins and Lois Chambers Wilkins.

Brenda was a member of the Thomas Chapel CME and was a retired factory worker. She loved going to church, fishing, watching Gunsmoke and Tombstone.

She is survived by two sons: Lamarcus Cole of Davenport, IA and Lamont Wilkins of Millington, Tenn., a daughter She'rie Cole Junior of Union City, Tenn., her grandchildren: Kevin Alexander of Lebanon, Tenn., Devin Alexander of Hayti, Mo., Kieesha Alexander of Jackson, Tenn., Malakai Cole of Eldridge, IA and Ashton Wilkins of Cedar Rapids, IA, her great-grandchildren: Ja'Kobe Wilkins of Cedar Rapids, IA, Cruze Wilkins of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jaylynne Porter of Jackson, Mi. and Ilyana Wilkins of Cedar Rapid, IA, a brother Edward Wilkins, Jr of Cleveland, Ohio and a sister, Patricia Wilkins of Cleveland, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, F.D. Chambers.

There will be no services held at the funeral home. Hornbeak Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
