Charles Perry Wade, Sr., 86, of Union City, Tenn., died on Sat., Jan. 27, 2024, at AHC of Union City in Union City, Tenn..

Born Friday, Aug. 6, 1937, in Hickman County, Ky., he was the son of the late Perry Howard Wade and the late Cornelia Ruth Townsend Wade. Mr. Wade proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a former truck driver for Tosh Trucking.

Funeral services for Mr. Wade will be held at 1 p.m. on Wed., Jan. 31, 2024, at Cayce Baptist Church, located at 41 Holly Circle in Fulton, Ky.

Officiating the service will be Dr. Bill Oakley and Bro. Mark Dowdy. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Clinton, Ky.

Visitation for Mr. Wade will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Tues., Jan. 30, 2024, at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern, Tenn. and on Wed., Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Cayce Baptist Church.

He is survived by one son, Charles Perry Wade, Jr. (Cindy) of Dyersburg, Tenn., two daughters, Robbie Lynn Robertson (Mickey) of Trimble, Tenn., and Charlotte Ann Bolton (Charlie) of Cayce, Ky.; one brother, James Wade of Clinton, Ky.; three sisters, Margaret Kelly of Clinton, Ky., Joyce Conley (Ray) of Paducah, Ky. and Anita Brann of Clinton, Ky. and he was "Pawpaw" to his seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years, Damon Violet Ballow Wade; one brother, Otis Ford Wade and one sister, Mary Sue Freeman.

Honoring Mr. Wade as pallbearers will be Robert Lynch, Lane Fowlkes, Cole Robertson, Wesley Upchurch, Victor Bolton, Adam Atkins and Richie Fowlkes. Honorary pallbearers will be Liam Lynch, Xavier Robertson, Callen Montgomery and Spencer Burns.
