AREA OBITUARIES -- MARIE FARMER
Mrs. Marie Farmer, age 88, of Clinton, Ky. passed away Tues., Feb. 6, 2024 at the Clinton-Hickman County I.C.F. in Clinton.
She was born on April 9, 1935 in Pontotoc County, Miss. to the late Dalton Britt and Earlene Garner Britt.
Marie was a member of the Parkway Church of Christ in Fulton and retired from the former Sears and Roebuck
in Memphis, Tenn. She was also the Valedictorian of her class at Randolph High School in Randolph, Miss.
She is survived by her husband, Elwin "Butch" Farmer, who she married August 20, 1954; a son, Steve (Phyllis) Farmer of Union City, Tenn.; a daughter, Carol (Steve) Tucker of Collierville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Alicia Trevathan of Germantown, Tenn., Lance Farmer of Old Hickory, Tenn., Jacob (Emma) Tucker of Morrison, Col., Katie Tucker (Reis Chehardy); of Memphis, Tenn. and two great-grandchildren, Hutch Trevathan and Garner
Marie Trevathan both of Germantown, Tenn.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers.
A memorial service for Mrs. Farmer will be held at 1 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 24, 2024 at the Parkway Church of
Christ in Fulton with Bro. Mike Farmer officating. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon on Sat., Feb. 24,
2024 at the Parkway Church of Christ, in Fulton, Ky. until the hour of service.
