SOUTH FULTON FIRE CLAIMS ONE LIFE; ANOTHER BEING TREATED FOR SEVERE BURNS

A late night residential fire on Forestdale in South Fulton May 10 claimed the life of one and another is being treated for severe burns, according to a family member.

South Fulton Fire Department, Fulton Fire Department and other area fired departments battled the blaze at the home, which was a total loss, for several hours, with a re-ignite occurring on Saturday morning, according to South Fulton Fire Chief John Curtis.

There was no further information available as of this afternoon, as the site continued to be monitored, according to Chief Curtis, who said he would release more information as to the circumstances related to the fire and injuries sustained, when it becomes available.
