ARREST MADE FOLLOWING INDICTMENT

South Fulton Police Department, today, June 12, arrested a South Fulton woman and former teacher on charges of statutory rape by authority figure and sexual battery by authority figure.

Katie Lane, 32 faces the charges following indictment by the Obion County Grand Jury which convened last week.

Lane was previously a middle school teacher in the Fulton Independent School District, and was terminated, according to the personnel report listed in the February 20 FISD Board of Education meeting packet.

According to South Fulton Police Chief Mitchell, Lane was arrested, with a $15,000 bond set, at her residence in South Fulton.
