AREA OBITUARIES -- MARILYN JONES

Marilyn Jones, age 86, of the Pilot Oak Community, passed away Wed., June 19, 2024 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Ky.

She was born on Oct. 7, 1937 in Obion County, Tenn., to the late Omer "Babe" Owsley and Hannah Grace Wilson Owsley.

She was a member of Pilot Oak Baptist Church and retired from the former Henry I. Siegel. She was also a manager for Tupperware for many years.

She is survived by three sons, Ray Kent (Kathy) Jones, of Mayfield, Michael Wayne (Lynn) Jones, of Dickson, Tenn., and Dean Allen (Terri) Jones, of Huntsville, Ala.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl "Charles" Jones; and two sisters, Doris Jean Owsley and Ruthelia Owsley.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sat., June 22, 2024 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial in the Pilot Oak Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held at the funeral home from 12 noon until the hour of service.
