AREA OBITUARIES -- PHILLIP SMITH

Phillip Smith, age 71, of Fulton, KY passed away Sunday, July

7, 2024 at the Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN.

He was born on September 10, 1952 in Fulton, KY to the late

Buford Smith and Betty Mae Jones Smith.

Phillip was a United States Army National Guard veteran, where

he served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Last Outpost

Ministry in South Fulton where he was a Co-Pastor, he also

had Phil Smith Ministries. Phillip was the owner/operator of

Smith Construction Restoration and was the apartment manager

for Royal Ridge Apartments in Fulton. He lived all of his life in this

area.

He is survived by his wife Julia Fulcher Smith, whom he married February

8, 2016, his children: Kevin Lee (Tammy) Smith of Ardmore, AL,

Scott (Chanda) Smith of Fulton, KY, Rebecca (Marty) Reagor of Newbern,

TN, Rachel Matz of Dresden, TN, Jeremy Smith of Silverdale, WA, three

stepchildren: Nicholas Howard of Paris, TN, Jonathan Howard of Fulton, KY and

Julian Howard of Fulton, KY, nine grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven

great-grandchildren, two brothers: Alvin Smith of South Fulton, TN and Ronald

Gene (Judy) Smith of South Fulton, TN, four sisters: Nancy Babbs of South Fulton,

TN, Janie Sue (Commodore) Warren of Kenton, TN and Mary Murray of South Fulton,

TN and Patsy (Wendell) Corum Latham, TN.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a great granddaughter, a sister-in-law

Brenda Smith and a brother-in-law, Chris Murray.

Funeral services for Mr. Phillip Smith will be held at 1 PM Thursday, July 11, 2024

in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Zion Cemetery in Oakton. Visitation

will be held at the funeral home from 11AM Thursday until the hour of service. Memorials
