Chamber’s first ‘Taste of Twin Cities’ receives rave reviews

Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce welcomed a hungry crowd to taste samples of 10 area restaurants Saturday night, July 13 at the Pontotoc Community Center to rave reviews.

After the event, Chamber President Anna Morgan stated, “It was wonderful to see so many community members come out to support Taste of the Twin Cities tonight. Fulton and South Fulton have a thriving food scene, and that’s what people got to experience. Everything was delicious.”

Over one hundred were served tastes from Bluebird Bistro & Catering; Buttercup’s Bistro; Fancy Fannie’s Bakery; The Keg; Main Street Sweets; Shark Fish & Chicken; Southern State; Stephen’s Flower Truck; Stephonoe’s Pizza Village; and, Twin Cups Coffeehouse by restaurant employees, owners and Chamber Board of Directors.

“An excellent night to showcase a sampling of our Twin Cities eateries,” said Fulton Mayor David Prater.

Fulton City Manager Mike Gunn said, “A great night to visit with community members, eat Twin Cities food and tell our story.”

The event was the first of its kind in the Twin Cities and the Chamber plans to take a serious look at making this an annual event at the request of the attendees.

According to the Chamber’s Executive Director, Katrina Cobb, “The Twin Cities Chamber of Commerce has a unique position as a liaison between Fulton, Ky. and South Fulton, Tenn., for activities in commerce, trade, business, finance and professional interest. With this responsibility, the Chamber will always strive to stimulate, encourage and promote those interests for its membership and for the general welfare of the community of the Twin Cities.”
