ONE-DAY MARKETPLACE VBS -- Fulton First United Methodist Church, Carr Street, will have a one-day Marketplace Vacation Bible School Sat., July 27, with all area students in grades preschool through upcoming 5th grade invited to sign in between 8:45 and 9 a.m., in the back entrance to the church. Parents may return at 12:15 to join their children at the lunch. Registration is available at fultonfirstumc.org, or by calling 270-472-3514.
A Bible lesson about Jesus, music, games and activities, and a trip to the Marketplace will be a part of the morning, where several "shops" will be displayed and children may "buy" (no real money involved!) and make jewelry, pottery, leather bracelets and other crafts. They will learn to play an ancient Jewish game with a little take-home dreidel. Children who have a lightweight bathroom and sandals may wear them, but if not, Rotation Station Sunday School has "costumes" to borrow. However, costumes are optional.
