CHRISTMAS IN JULY BEGINS THURSDAY, THROUGH SATURDAY

The Fulton Tourism Commission will sponsor "Christmas In July" beginning Thurs., July 25, with a 5 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony for the new "Ventures Village" area of small, newly constructed buildings to house artisan based businesses. The shops are located off Walnut Street in Fulton, and adjacent to the Fulton Farmers Market, as well as downtown Fulton's Lake Street.

On July 26, from 5-7 p.m., the Fulton Police Department will offer a bump-n-jump play area for children, ice cream and popsicles, while the Fulton Fire Department and Ken-Tenn EMS will host fun games and special children's activities, all in the downtown Fulton area.

Beginning on Fri., July 26 and running through Sat., July 27, Twin Cities businesses will be offering in-store savings and special discounts, and also on Sat., July 27, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, live music will fill the air in the area of Ventures Village, with Santa set to make an appearance, as the special guest for Christmas in July.

Saturday night, July 27 at 8:30 p.m., Fulton Tourism Commission will host a special movie night, at no cost to those attending, at the Walnut Street Farmers Market. Viewers may bring lawn chairs and blankets to get comfortable for a showing of the popular Christmas season movie, "Elf".

According to Kenney Etherton, Executive Director of the Fulton Tourism Commission, area residents and visitors to downtown Fulton are invited to patronize restaurants for dining, and enjoy adult beverages, to-go, from participating restaurants in the Entertainment Destination Center, EDC, downtown area.
