Thomas E. "Pete" Jones, a former resident of South Fulton, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Greenbrier Meadows of Martin. He was born on March 24, 1933, in Hickman, Kentucky, to the late Lewis T. and Alene Jones.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Margaret “Elaine” Jones; his son, Thomas Randall “Randy” Koesterer and wife Carolyn; grandson Brock Borger, and his brother, Jerry Lee “JJ” Jones.

He is survived by daughter, Diana Savoia (Tony) of Belleville, IL; Teri Reynolds of Martin, TN; Tami Kooch (Ronald) of Knoxville, TN; and Tina Hill (Shane) of So. Fulton, TN, and stepchildren: Danny Cannon of Dresden, TN; Randy Cannon (Danish Khan) of Tampa, FL, and LaDonna Cannon of Paducah, KY.

Grandchildren: Brent Borger (Jody) of Freeburg, IL; Brock Borger’s wife, Samantha of Belleville, IL; Leslie Ann (Todd) Rivera of Belleville, IL; Nathan and Sean Koesterer of Washington State, Zack Reynolds (Brittany) of Lexington, SC; Alex Gallien (Samantha) of Martin, TN; Andrea Kooch of Knoxville, TN; Jake Reynolds (Caroline) of Martin, TN; and Audri (Juan) and Avery Hill of So. Fulton, TN.

Great-grandchildren: Pepaw Tom is survived by a new great-grandson Roman Gallien of Martin, TN; Hunter, Isla and Harvey Borger of Smithton, IL; Haleigh Borger of Freeburg, IL; Emily Borger of Belleville, IL; Taylor Rivera of Fulton, KY and Owen Rivera (U.S. Navy), Michael Cannon of Tampa, FL, and was anticipating the arrival of great-granddaughter, Josie Claire Reynolds this October.

Also surviving is Tom’s beloved Gold Cap Conure Parrot, Neicko.

Tom was a member of Jackson Chapel Community Church and Wentzville Masonic Lodge No. 46. He was an avid hunter, loved to fish, and one of his favorite activities in later years was dancing. He was always telling jokes and stories and forever had a sharp mind!

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
