Billy Milner, age 92, of South Fulton, TN passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at the West Tennessee Healthcare Volunteer Hospital in Martin.

Billy was born April 25, 1932, in Lonoke, Arkansas, to the late James and Nora McLean Milner. He married Doris Williams in 1953.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955, Korean Conflict, stationed in France and Germany. Following his service, he earned his bachelor's and master's degrees and taught science and served as guidance counselor at the high school level, primarily at Fulton City High School. In addition to his teaching, he enjoyed farming, both row cropping and raising livestock, and gardening. In retirement, he spent time woodworking in his shop and looked forward to wintering in Florida.
In 1989, he married Evelyn Jones. They were members of South Fulton Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and she coordinated the ministry to senior adults for many years.
Billy was blessed by the love, respect, and care he received from his children and their families and from Evelyn's children and their families, as well as from his siblings and their families. Surviving are his children Michael (Gigi) Milner of Fulton and Robin (Ken) Bradshaw of Reidland, six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving from Evelyn's family and loved as his own are Bill (Barbara) Jones of Topeka, Kansas, Mark Batts of Fulton and their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and the family of Don and Cindy Jones.
Billy's surviving siblings are Lois Elliott of Fancy Farm, Doris Diehl of Mayfield, and TomMilner (Jacque) of Oxford, Mississippi.
Predeceasing Billy besides his parents were his wife Evelyn and two of her children, Don Jones and Vickie Batts, Don's wife Cindy, and Billy's siblings Violet Connell, Beatrice Larkin, Oleta Edwards, and John Milner.
Services for Billy Milner will be at noon on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 AM Saturday until the hour of service. If you wish to, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
