The Meadows Hotel & Restaurant blends history, hospitality

Fulton native Jeff Campbell is owner of The Meadows Hotel and Restaurant, located at 101 Commercial Ave. in Fulton. 

The hours of operation for the restaurant are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The restaurant is closed on Sundays, but The Meadows Hotel guests enjoy 24 hour service from the staff of 17 with each stay.

Seven years ago, when Campbell decided to locate his business in Fulton, he said he wanted to provide a nice hotel for the Twin Cities.

With that decision, came a new hobby.

“The hotel IS my hobby,” he said.

One interesting thing about the business, that Campbell will be happy to share, is that The Meadows has two ghosts.

“Running your own show” is what he identifies as the easiest aspect of being a small business owner. The most difficult, he said, is cost controls, taxes and government regulations.
