Obion County School Board, Budget Committee, joint orientation Jan. 6

The Obion County Commission’s Budget Committee will meet jointly with the Obion County Board of Education for a budget orientation session on Mon., Jan. 6 at 8 a.m. in the County Mayor’s Office meeting room in Union City, Tenn. The meeting is open to the public.

At 9 a.m., that same day, on Mon., Jan. 6, also open to the public, the Obion County Commission’s Budget Committee will meet with the following items listed on the meeting’s agenda:

Sam Sinclair, Chairman, will call the meeting to order and announce if quorum is present. Meeting will open with prayer; Pledge of Allegiance;  Approve minutes from November 4, 2025 meeting; 1. SRO Budget Amendment, Karl Jackson, Sheriff; 2. TCI Grant Resolution, Karl Jackson, Sheriff; 3. Perishable Food Resolution 4. Solid Waste Budget Amendment, Travis Alexander, Solid Waste Director; 5. Solid Waste Grant Resolution, Travis Alexander, Solid Waste Director; 6. Record Storage Building, Steve Carr, Mayor; 7. Appointments; New Business, Ag Committee (2 Year Term) – Airport Board (2 Year Term)-Long Range Planning (2 Year Term) –Budget Committee (1 Year Term)-Courthouse Asset Committee (1 Year Term)-Solid Waste Board (6 Year Term)-Park and Rec Committee (2 year term)-8. Notaries 9. Any other business or budget transfers that need to be brought before the budget committee; and 10. Adjournment
