DRONE SIGHTINGS COULD BE PART OF FULTON'S GRANT SURVEY
According to the City of Fulton's Public Works Director, Steven Wiser, local residents may notice drone activity in Fulton, beginning this week.
As a part of the Natural Gas Distribution Infrastructure Safety and Modernization Grant awarded to the City of Fulton by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), weather permitting, a drone will fly over the area, for the aerial survey portion of the Natural Gas Project Corridor and Boundaries on the eastern side of Fulton, on Thurs., Jan. 16 or Fri., Jan. 17.
During that timeframe, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that can be controlled remotely or fly autonomously, may be visible, otherwise known as a Drone, flying around the Fulton area.
Wiser reported in case the public does view a drone, it has been both planned and approved by the city.
