CITY OF FULTON URGES RESIDENTS TO PREPARE FOR SIGNIFICANT RAINFALL EVENT
The City of Fulton is advising residents to take immediate precautions ahead of a major rainfall event expected
to impact on our area tomorrow. The National Weather Service is predicting 4-7 inches of rain during this
weather event.
Residents in flood-prone areas should take the following preparedness actions:
 Move vehicles to higher ground
Clear gutters and storm drains of debris
Monitor local news and weather updates
Have an evacuation plan ready if needed
The City of Fulton emphasizes that driving through flooded roadways poses extreme danger to both drivers and
potential rescue personnel. Remember:
 Never drive around barricades
Six inches of moving water can knock you down
One foot of moving water can sweep away most vehicles
 Turn Around, Don't Drown®
Emergency response teams are preparing for potential flooding and will be monitoring conditions throughout
the weather event. Residents should call 911 in case of emergency.
