AREA OBITUARIES -- VERBENA MIGNON PARKS

Mrs. Verbena Mignon Parks, age 95, a resident of the Ruthville Community, passed away Mon., March 24, 2025, at the Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden, Tenn.
She was born in Fulton, Ky. on August 22, 1929, to the late Joseph Henry Castleman and Odie Hazlewood Castleman.
Verbena married her husband of 79 years, James Thomas Parks on January 5, 1946. She was a seamstress for the former Henry I Siegel Garment Company and was a member of the Ruthville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, James Thomas (Tom) Parks, four sons; Edward (Elizabeth) Parks of Martin, Tenn., Thomas (Vicky) Parks of South Fulton, Tenn., Steve (Debra) Parks of Martin, Tenn., Ronald (Pam) Parks of Martin, Tenn., one daughter; Janice (Larry) Clark of Sharon, Tenn., 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, one brother; James (Winnie) Castleman of Martin, Tenn., one sister; Sue Wilson of Michigan.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Verbena Parks will be held at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton on Thurs., March 27, 2025, at 2 p.m. with Bro. David Gallimore officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandy Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton Thurs., March 27, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the hour of service.
Hornbeak Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
