Our historic rainfall event continues, with another 2-6 inches of rain forecast across the Missouri Bootheel into Western Kentucky. Elsewhere will see about 1-2 inches. We are expecting ongoing flooding to worsen as heavy rainfall arrives this afternoon through tonight, with considerable to catastrophic impacts possible, primarily over Western Kentucky. We also have a severe risk across the Missouri Bootheel into the Kentucky Purchase and southern Kentucky Pennyrile. This risk will be from now until 8 PM CDT tonight, with brief tornadoes, damaging wind gusts, and large hail all possible.
