BIG BLUE BENEFICIARIES – Tristan Roberson, second from left and Sarah Gardner, far right, were awarded $1,000 scholarships May 31, by the Fulton County University of Kentucky Alumni group, during the organization's annual Scholarship Banquet held at The Keg restaurant in Fulton. Gardner, a Hickman County High School graduate, received the scholarship for the second time, and will be returning to UK, as an English major. Roberson, who was home schooled, will return to UK as a junior this Fall. Anyia Jones, a 2018 Fulton High School graduate was also a scholarship recipient but was unable to attend the banquet. Those interested in contributing to the scholarship fund may forward donations to Bob Mahan or Mallory Worley at Heritage Bank of Fulton. The scholarships are named in honor of longtime UK supporter, the late John McAlister.
