AREA OBITUARIES – Leslie Whitlock

Leslie Whitlock, age 77, of Clinton, Ky., passed away on Fri., Jan. 9, 2026, at his residence.
He was born in Clinton, Ky., on Feb. 5, 1948, to the late Johnnie Shelton Whitlock and Frances "Via" Whitlock. He was united in marriage to Brenda Joyce Archer on May 30, 1968, in South Fulton, Tenn., and spent his entire life in this area.
He was an avid hunting and fishing enthusiast and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 32 years of dedicated service.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Andy (Karen) Whitlock, of Clinton, Ky.; one daughter, Amy (Trent) Myatt, of Wingo, Ky.; four granddaughters, Emma Whitlock, Mallory Myatt, Avery Myatt, and Erin Myatt; one sister, Jacquline (Marvin) Lynch, of Clinton, Ky.; and one brother, Michael (Janice) Whitlock, of Clinton, Ky.
Private family services will be held at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Michael Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Clark Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Salem Cemetery Fund or the Clark Cemetery Fund.
