Closure planned on KY 1099/7th Street at KY 125 in Hickman starting Mon., Mar. 9

A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will close KY 1099/7th Street at its intersection with KY 125/Union City Highway, or at mile point 2.269, in the city of Hickman (Fulton County), starting Mon., Mar. 9, weather permitting.
Motorists should also expect one-lane traffic via an alternating traffic light on KY 125/Union City Highway at this intersection, or near mile point 5.4.
Crews will be constructing a new box culvert. Work is expected to last until about mid-July for this first phase.
A marked detour will direct traffic back to KY 1099 using KY 1463.
KYTC District 1 will issue updates as the work progresses.
The entire project is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 2026.
