Lane restriction, brief roadblocks to start March 16 on I-69 Southbound in Fulton and Graves Counties

March 13, 2026

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is planning a lane restriction and temporary roadblocks at four bridges along Interstate 69 southbound in Fulton and Graves counties during the week of March 16.
Crews will inspect bridges one at a time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with Friday reserved as a backup date. All inspections are expected to be completed by March 20.
Locations include (in no order):

  • Fulton County: I-69 SB at mile point 0 over KY 116 near the state line. (NOTE: This has been confirmed as the first location on Monday, Mar. 16. There may also be intermittent closures on KY 116 when moving equipment.)

  • Graves County: I-69 SB at mile point 31.4 over Panther Creek; I-69 SB at mile point 33.7 over West Fork Clarks River; and I-69 SB at mile point 34.01 over West Fork Clarks River Overflow; all located between the Graves-Marshall County line and Exit 27 (KY 131).
In advance of each inspection, crews will implement a lane restriction at the bridge location. Brief, intermittent roadblocks of both lanes will also be necessary during the inspection to allow crews to safely reposition equipment.
State police will assist KYTC crews during the temporary roadblocks, which are not expected to last more than five minutes each.
Motorists are advised to watch for signs, workers, and equipment and be prepared for minor delays.
