Discovery Park of America to host Artemis II live watch and educational programs

Discovery Park of America, in Union City, Tenn.,  will host a live viewing and educational programs tied to Artemis II, NASA’s first crewed mission to travel around the moon in more than 50 years, on Fri., April 10 beginning at 11 a.m. in the Dinosaur Hall.
The program will feature livestream coverage of the mission, educational insights and hands-on, space-themed activities for young learners.
Guests will learn more about the Artemis II mission, its astronauts and its role in the next era of human space exploration.
In addition to the program, guests can explore STEM Landing, Discovery Park’s space and science-focused area featuring NASA mission patches, an orbiter and other space-related artifacts inside the geodesic dome.
Exhibits guide visitors from Earth through the solar system, the galaxy and beyond using data and imagery sourced from NASA missions.
Discovery Park is also home to a 661-pound iron-nickel meteorite that fell to Earth in Nantan County, China, in 1516 and was rediscovered in 1958. It remains one of the largest specimens of its kind on display.
The program is free with park admission or membership.
