Kentucky households may now apply for LIHEAP Spring Subsidy until May 22

Kentucky households can apply for LIHEAP Spring Subsidy now until Fri., May 22, 2026, to help offset cooling costs as the temperatures rise.
Eligible households with income up to 150% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines may qualify for assistance with their electric bills. This program provides a one-time electric benefit, paid directly to the household’s electric vendor. No disconnect notice, past-due bill, or eviction notice is required to apply.
Assistance received during previous LIHEAP components does not affect eligibility. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, or until funds are depleted.
