AREA OBITUARIES – Cathey Mulcahy

Cathey Mulcahy, age 68, of South Fulton, Tenn., passed away at her residence on Sun., July 5, 2026.
She was born on May 29, 1958, in Fulton, Ky., to the late James Howard Hutchens and Audrey Cathey Hutchens of South Fulton, Tenn.
Cathey was a member of Parkway Church of Christ and devoted many years of service as a registered nurse at the former Parkway Regional Hospital. She enjoyed shopping, thrift stores, and finding great bargains. She also had a passion for collecting antique glass. Cathey spent her entire life in the Fulton and South Fulton community, where she was known for her caring spirit and dedication to her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Mulcahy, whom she married on Nov. 19, 1977; her daughter, Melanie (Mike) Gunn, of Fulton, Ky.; two sons, Robby (Kayla) Mulcahy, of South Fulton, Tenn., and Mitchell Mulcahy, of Fulton, Ky.; her mother, Audrey Hutchens, of South Fulton, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Taylor (Quentin) Cunningham of Warner Robins, Ga., Charles Michael Mulcahy, of South Fulton, Tenn., Owen Gunn, of Fulton, Ky., Audriana Mulcahy, of South Fulton, Tenn., Elizabeth Mulcahy, Ryan Mulcahy, and Matthew Mulcahy, all of Fulton, Ky.; and her brother, Kevin Hutchens, of South Fulton, Tenn.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Fri., July 10, 2026 at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 - 7 p.m. Thurs., July 9 and after 9 a.m. Fri., July 10 until the hour of service.
