AREA OBITUARIES – Guynell Pierce

Guynell Pierce, 85, of South Fulton, Tenn., passed away on Fri., July 10, 2026, at Magnolia Ridge Care in Union City, Tenn.
Born on Feb. 15, 1941, in Graves County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late William Guy Payne and Lela Ozell Boyd Payne.
Guynell was a faithful member of South Fulton Baptist Church and was employed for many years by the former Henry I. Siegel (H.I.S.). She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend whose kindness and love touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her son, Bo Pierce, of South Fulton, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Alec (Rachael) Pierce, of Hendersonville, Tenn., Payden (Madison) Pierce, of Columbus, Ohio, and Harrison Pierce, of South Fulton, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren, Sebastian Pierce, Phoebe Pierce, and Guy Pierce, all of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and her sister, Carolyn Milford, of Columbus, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Pierce; and her sister, Frances Choate.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Tues., July 21, 2026 at the South Fulton Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the South Fulton Baptist Church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
