Fulton Tourism Commission to meet Aug. 13

The Fulton Tourism Commission will meet Thurs., Aug. 13, with updates on several tourism-related projects and upcoming events on the agenda.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Fulton City Hall.
City Manager Nathan Lamb is scheduled to provide remarks to the commission, followed by consideration of the minutes from the commission's July 28 special-called meeting and a financial report.
Commission members will receive updates on preparations for the 2026 Banana Festival. 
Several ongoing projects are also listed under old business, including a proposed street name change, an update on the airport project and the development of the disc golf course.
The commission also is expected to discuss a Christmas event under new business.
The meeting will conclude with an opportunity for other business before adjournment.
